TMOJC OUTREACH FOR KENYA'S REFUGEE CRISIS
PROPOSAL FOR RE-HOUSING

A lot of people
are leaving
Kibera because
the'unreported
violence' is still
prevalent. So
prices for houses
in Kawangwere
have sky
rocketed as it is
the closest slum
to Kibera. The
landlord we are
negotiating with
Pastor Motie (second from right)
at the moment is asking for KHz2300-per month (£17.16). Plus, she requires one month's full deposit, refundable when terminating contract-informal contract!
We have also made a list of the intial basic needs per household. Please not the projection done on the spreadsheet(see pdf download) for commodities are based on wholesale rather than retail pricing. on the whole the prices are realistic; although a lot of families are more than 4 people per household we are using 4 for pratical reasons.
